Zong 5G test Misleads People with Latest 5G Advertisement and orders PTA to remove all 5G advertisements because 5G take at least 5 years to come in Pakistan.

Zong 5G test announced its 5G trial a few weeks back and boosted that it is the only operators from Pakistan who has successfully tested 5G. Initially, the advertisements were fine but slowly they started misguiding people that the company will be the first one to provide 5G services in Pakistan.

Zong also posted a latest 5G advertisement in print and electronic media where the ensure customers to provide 5G services as soon as possible. PTA took the notice of this and released a statement in reference to the Zong 4G Latest 5G advertisement. It announced that Zong was only allowed to carry out test and trial of 5G Technology, in line with the policy of Government of Pakistan.

The Cellular Mobile Operator (CMO), that is, Zong is not authorized to offer commercial mobile services based on 5G technology in Pakistan.

Zong 5G and 5G Advertisement withdrawn as per PTA’s order


Zong was communicated by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to withdraw advertisements that may mislead the public regarding the availability of commercial services based on the 5G network. Zong has removed the advertisement from all its forums as per PTA.

In line with the policy directive issued by the Government of Pakistan, PTA has unveiled its roadmap for facilitating public testing of 5G technology and related services in Pakistan this year. This trial was the first one to be conducted. Other CMOs will also conduct 5G trials in the future, under policy guidelines.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has asked Zong to remove all advertisements around 5G technology.

Accordingly, Zong was only allowed to carry out test and trial of 5G technology, in line with the policy of the government of Pakistan.


Reasons behind it 



Furthermore, Zong is not authorized to offer commercial based mobile services on 5G technology in Pakistan. Thus, PTA has asked the telecom brand to remove all and any advertisements that can mislead the public on the availability of commercial based 5G.



PTA has also revealed a roadmap for facilitating public testing of 5G technology and related services in Pakistan this year. The trial with Zong was just the first of many. Reportedly, other Cellular Mobile Operator (CMO) will also be a part of these trials.
