The Ruet - Pakistani first moonsighting app

The Ruet - Pakistani first moonsighting app launch by Pakistani developers in July 2019. On Official Twitter account, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Ch make an announcement about this app named 'The Ruet'.

What is The Ruet


The Ruet is a Pakistani first moonsighting app which is currently available on Playstore and free download. Its name is after the Ruet-e-Hilal committee an official moonsighting committee in Pakistan.

As the moonsighting committee in Pakistan is responsible to start of the lunar month and also get more information about the moon and nd Islamic Hijri calendar.

What are the Purposes of using The Ruet


Developed by COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) it is one of the great app developed on the behalf of Ministry of Science and Technology. The main purposes of using this app is to provide detail scientific and Islamic information about the moon.

Along with Official five years (1440-1445 H) lunar calendar, it also has many features of moon phases and sky simulation. This app will help in real-time information of the moon and the Islamic Hijri calendar reading.

How to use the Ruet App


Step 1 Download Ruet app

Step 2 Select City and Month (Shawal)

Step 3 Go to Navigation part and click on Search

Step 4 Write Moon


Step 5 Move your phone towards the direction of the moon shown in App.

You will find the moon right there.




With the Help of Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Ch Pakistan is developing many other projects in the field of Technology.
