Telegram privacy bug can retrieve media from deleted messages

Telegram privacy bug was recently found by a security researcher which can retrieve deleted messages from user accounts.

Recently security researcher Dhiraj Mishra discovered one of the most serious privacy bugs in Telegram app which good retrieve and expose deleted messages videos and also pictures. According to research, this privacy issue can expose any of the concerned media to the others uses.



What this bug can do?


Most of the time when Telegram users did not want to send any of the video or picture and he deletes it. But the bag can retrieve it back from deleted media in the internal storage of the device.

Retrieve deleted messages could be a serious issue like Facebook privacy issues.

What about Telegram Windows app?


It means that the delete message feature only worked for the chat window of the app. Another big problem with this bug it can also expose deleted media in Telegram subgroups which could be easily available to all of the users.

Meanwhile, researches from Telegram also tested Android and IOS for the existence of this bug and they so accept that they are trying to fix this bug soon. Security researcher Dhiraj Mishra who was the first person get awarded a bounty of €2,500 of you find this bug and report it to Telegram.
