With amazing combination of the black screen and white fore color to read emails it helps users to use Gmail at night. Gmail’s dark theme also extends to the compose screen and messages. While the body of an email leverages white text, signatures can be harder to see.
Avatars, labels, and other colors in the inbox view have been appropriately tweaked to be less bright and more muted. A similar treatment is applied for all icons and buttons throughout the Android app.
Like Other Google Apps, Gmail app on Andriod 10 also has three major options to enable Dark mode with others. These modes are
To enable Gmail App Dark mode Version 2019.08.18.267044774 of Gmail is required. You can download it from the Google Play store right now.
To enable Dark mode on Gmail app first go to Gmail General settings > then select top option which is Theme and then you can easily select any color mode. However, the new “Theme” menu at the top of General settings is rolling out via a separate server-side update.
Note: If you don't see the theme option yet, you may need to wait for the server-side change to hit your device.
